Ecovadis Bronze 2024 Logo CEC Logo

To respond to environmental, societal and ethical issues that have become paramount in our Society, Maison Cadiou has committed to a voluntary approach of Corporate Social and Environmental Responsibility (CSR). We want to go further in our commitment and have just launched the CEC Ouest 2024-2025 program.

In March 2024, we were rewarded with the Ecovadis Bronze medal, thus recognizing our efforts and our continuous commitment to sustainability.

This CSR evaluation focuses on essential issues related to Environment, Social & Human Rights, Ethics and Responsible Purchasing.

In a continuous improvement approach, our objective is to obtain the Silver medal by March 2025. The results obtained allow us to have an objective analysis of our performance and to establish an action plan on all CSR-related topics.

Reduce the impact of our material extractions

We carried out our latest Carbon Footprint (scope 1, 2 & 3) in 2022. Following this, we defined a decarbonization trajectory and objectives allowing us to contribute to respecting the commitments made during the Paris Agreement in 2015.

Our objective is to divide our Carbon Footprint® (scope 3 included) by 4 by 2050 in order to contribute to France's effort and limit warming to +1.5°C and/or keep it below 2°C, i.e. a 2050 Carbon Footprint® equal to approximately 29,800 tCO2e.

Our initiatives support our ecosystem, and particularly our suppliers, subcontractors, customers & individuals, by establishing privileged links and working in partnership for the co-construction of our offer.

  • • Social and solidarity economy: We collaborate with Establishments and Services for Work Assistance (ESAT) to support inclusion and strengthen our social impact.
  • • Logistics optimization: We optimize our routes thanks to our three strategic logistics bases.
  • • After-sales service (SAV): We offer a reactive and quality after-sales service to guarantee customer satisfaction and loyalty.

We also require that our partner suppliers and subcontractors adhere to our Responsible purchasing code of conduct for suppliers to ensure alignment with our ethical and environmental commitments.

Be a responsible employer

Enable access to employment for all

team working at Maison Cadiou

The health and safety of our employees is our priority. We create a safe and healthy work environment, thanks to numerous actions to improve quality of life and working conditions (QVCT). We have implemented several programs for the personal and professional development of our employees, essential for building a flourishing and sustainable company:

  • • Workshop school: to train in our trades via recruitment without CV.
  • • Professional Qualification Certificates (CQP): to increase employability and ensure skills recognition.
  • • Training catalog: allowing employees to develop continuously, with HR support to personalize career paths.
  • • Versatility and internal mobility: thus favoring adaptability and career evolution.

We value collective intelligence with initiatives such as Innovation Trophies, inter-service reflection groups and open speech moments, so that everyone can actively participate in company projects.

Positive impact on the territory

view of Locronan

At Maison Cadiou, our strength comes from our deep territorial anchoring in Locronan, one of the most beautiful villages in France. As a Breton family business, our identity is rooted in this exceptional heritage where our products are manufactured locally. Our know-how, transmitted from generation to generation, is a real guarantee of quality.

This local commitment is also reflected in our efforts to:

  • • Favor local suppliers to strengthen our proximity network (¼ of our suppliers in the department) and support employment via initiatives such as sponsorship and collaboration with CREPI 29.
  • • Promote local culture by integrating decoration elements specific to the region into our products, such as decorations designed by Pascal Jaouen, which celebrate traditional regional motifs on our sheets.
  • • Support local and solidarity projects, a central mission of our Solidarity & Patronage commission, which supports several dozen projects each year.
  • • Limit our impact on local ecosystems. We carried out, at the end of 2022, an ecological diagnosis to better know and understand the biodiversity around our industrial site.
