The freestanding pergola, on the other hand, is independent and forms an island of tranquillity within your outdoor living space.
The regulations are different for these two configurations. A wall-mounted pergola requires planning permission if its surface area exceeds 40m², compared to 20m² for a freestanding pergola.

The aluminium bioclimatic pergola allows you to enjoy your pergola at all times and in all seasons. Thanks to its motorised slats, you can modulate the shade and natural ventilation under your pergola.
With parallel or perpendicular slats, the roof orientation takes into account the exposure of your home to provide maximum protection from heat and bad weather.
For unique customisation, Kostum offers 5 colours of adjustable slats: birch wood tone, white, light grey, aluminium grey and light ivory.
To protect yourself from the wind, sun, rain and prying eyes, you can choose from several side closures.
Motorised zip blinds can be controlled from a smartphone and do not permanently block the opening to your garden. There are also fixed aluminium closures: solid, perforated, louvred or decorative panels.
Because Kostum pergolas adapt to your needs, you can mix and match these three closure solutions and choose the number of sides to close.
To help you enjoy your garden even at night, Kostum integrates LED lighting into its pergolas. The LEDs in the beams provide soft lighting, while those in the adjustable slats provide functional lighting for your meals. For mood lighting, you can opt for backlighting in the beams or posts of your pergola.
These different lighting options, installed in the beams, slats or behind a decorative feature, complement each other harmoniously to provide both functional lighting and a warm atmosphere, suitable for any time of the day or evening.
The Somfy remote control allows you to control several elements of the pergola: the orientation of the slats, the lighting and the raising and lowering of the zip blinds.
By connecting your pergola to your TaHoma switch, all of these controls will be available on your smartphone, with a visual display of the position of each one.
